UPD gets 100% in mining licensure examination

UP Diliman (UPD) garnered a 100% passing rate at the October 2025 Mining Engineers Computer-Based Licensure Examination, with four examinees landing in the top 10 passers.

Leading the successful batch of examinees from the UPD Department of Mining, Metallurgical, and Materials Engineering are Rafael Ryan Aguilana, in third place with an 88.25% rating, followed by Hans Lorenzo Reyes (5th, 87.75%), Ma. Dhea Angeline Bernardo (6th, 87.65%), and Jemaimah Ruvie Costales (9th, 87.40%).

UPD also had the highest number of passers, with all 23 examinees passing the exam, securing the number one spot among the top-performing schools. To qualify as a top-performing school, an institution must have five or more examinees and have at least 80% passing rate.

The Professional Regulation Commission announced that 214 of 290 passed the examination given in the National Capital Region, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, and Legazpi.
