The opening of “Mukhang Pamilyar (Looks Familiar): The First Solo Exhibition of Jesus Manuel Santiago” will happen on Saturday, October 14, 4 p.m., at the Gallery One, UP Diliman Fine Arts Gallery.
Santiago is an award-winning poet, songwriter, musician, and translator. As one of the pioneers of people’s music in the Philippines, he penned and performed some classic protest songs during the Marcos dictatorship.
The exhibit will feature 73 paintings in watercolor by Santiago and will be on display until November 11.
The gallery is open from Tuesdays to Saturdays, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
