The UP Diliman Institute of Mathematics (IM) invites everyone to a seminar series, featuring talks by Carmeliza Navasca, PhD and Shannon Starr, PhD, associate professors from the Department of Mathematics, University of Alabama at Birmingham, USA, on July 4, Friday, 10 a.m., at the IM Conference Room.

Navasca will present the lecture “Optimization Models for Tensor Decompositions and Applications.”

Starr will discuss “Large Deviations and CLT for the Number of Commuting ℓ-tuples of Permutations Weighted by Orbit Number.”

The two seminars are hosted by the Matrix Analysis and Linear Algebra Research Group.
