Everyone is invited to the first session of the “DAMÁ Brownbag Sessions” on Sept. 17, Wednesday, 2:30–4:00 p.m., at the UP Diliman (UPD) College of Social Sciences and Philosophy Health and Wellness Center, Pavilion 1, 3/F Palma Hall.

The resource speakers are Michael Manahan, a lecturer at the UPD Department of Linguistics, and Jayson D. Petras, PhD, an associate professor from the Departamento ng Filipino at Panitikan ng Pilipinas.

Manahan will talk about “The Filipino Fear” while Petras will present the lecture “‘Masayá Kung Sama-sama’: Pakahulugan ng Sayá sa Kontekstong Pilipino.”

The event is a project of the Department of History and is funded by the Office for Initiatives in Culture and the Arts (OICA) through the OICA Grants.
