Winners of this year’s UP Diliman (UPD) Office of the Student Housing (OSH) Sportsfest were awarded at the recently held OSH Night 2025.
OSH Night 2025 marked the culmination of the OSH Festival 2025, which began on April 21. Aside from the sports competitions, the festival also featured the welcoming atmosphere of the open house activities at the UPD dormitories.

UPD Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Jose Carlo G. de Pano thanked the OSH for organizing this year’s festival. He underscored the importance of activities like these in enhancing the community-building experiences of UPD dormers.
“You might forget the theories, the concepts, etc., but you’ll always retain the experiences,” said de Pano.

In an email to UPDate Online, OSH Officer-in-Charge Marielle Zosa said that the festival “aims to be a celebration to strengthen community bonds and foster social interaction among residents of UPD dormitories. Each event offers unique opportunities for residents to learn, grow, and thrive.”
The highlight of OSH Night was the Sportsfest awarding ceremony.
This year’s champions, first runners-up, and second runners-up in the men’s -basketball tournament were the Ilang-Ilang Residence Hall, Acacia Residence Hall, and Molave Residence Hall, respectively. In the women’s basketball tournament, Molave Residence Hall bagged the championship, while Kamia and Acacia Residence Halls snagged the first runner-up and second runner-up awards, respectively.
For the men’s volleyball competition, the Molave Residence Hall was declared champion, while the Ilang-Ilang Residence Hall and Ipil Residence Hall won the first runner-up and second runner-up awards, respectively. In the women’s division, Molave Residence Hall, Acacia Residence Hall, and Yakal Residence Hall won the championship, first runner-up, and second runner-up awards, respectively.
Champions received trophies and certificates of recognition, while the first and second runners-up received certificates of recognition.
Special performances from residents of UPD dormitories further enlivened the evening.
Gab Perez from the Acacia Residence Hall did a cover of The Disband’s Hindi Na Nga. Rex Cabingan and Luigi Ed Erauda from the Sampaguita Residence Hall performed a viola duo. The duo played Redbone’s hit Come and Get Your Love, and Georg Philipp Teleman’s classical duet Concerto for Two Violas (first two movements).

Meanwhile, the UP Filipiniana Dance Group performed T’boli’s B’laan dance. The final performance came from the UP Women’s Volleyball Team, where they performed trending dances in social media.
OSH Night was held on May 8 at the College of Engineering Cristy Hernandez Activity Center.
