Traffic Impact Assessment for Technical Evaluators
NCTS Bldg., G. Apacible St., UP Diliman
8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Urban and regional development projects such as malls, housing, schools and commercial establishments have already been established to have remarkable impacts on the transportation system and its environment. It is necessary to evaluate the significance of traffic-related impacts before the implementation of a proposed development. The Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA) process allows these future impacts to be planned for and mitigated. Some local government units and national agencies are now requiring TIA for development projects before its approval.
The training will give an overview of the TIA process and discuss the contents of a TIA report. Open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.
Target Participants: Municipal/City planners and engineers, traffic engineers, transportation planners, local and national government personnel involved in transportation and related functions
