The passing of the Mental Health Law (RA 11096) was a watershed moment in Philippine History. With it, we joined the ranks of countries with mental health legislation as a commitment to securing and sustaining sound mental health and psychosocial wellbeing for all Filipinos. Join us in getting to know more about the MH Law, what it could mean for us, and how we could transform our communities into safe and nurturing spaces that include, accommodate, and treasure people, both with and without mental health challenges.
First Things First: Mental Health Matters (Unpacking the MH Law) The Forum presents the benefits to having a MH Law in the Philippines. Experts and other individuals share ways by which the MH Law can truly benefit different sectors of society: schools, workplaces, families, mental health clinics, hospitals and communities.
The Forum features the following speakers:
Dr. Violeta Bautista
Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan
Hannah Pangilinan
Dr. Monina Garduño-Cruz
Dr. Divine Love Salvador
Lea Georgia Iligan
Admission is free. See you there!
