Beyond Myself is part of the Curating Development project spearheaded by Goldsmiths, University of London, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, UK. Curating Development’s partners include Keele University, Kanlungan Filipino Consortium and Filipino Domestic Workers Association in the UK; The University of Hong Kong and Enrich, a not-for-profit organization providing financial literacy training programs for migrant domestic workers in Hong Kong; and in the Philippines, the Scalabrini Migration Center and Vargas Museum, University of the Philippines. In addition to the art works and visual images that resulted from the workshops, the exhibit features the works and materials by Filipino artist Nathalie Dagmang, the Hong Kong-based domestic worker artist collective Guhit Kulay, and Voices of Women Media (VOW Media) a not-for-profit organisation that seeks to empower women through media and technology.
