The UPD portal (http://www.upd.edu.ph) brought honor to the University with its win in the school category of the 2nd DigitalFilipino Web Awards.
The award, given in November by the DigitalFilipino.com Club (http://www.digitalfilipino.com/, DFC) in collaboration with Search Profile Index (http://www.searchprofileindex.com/, SPI), was given to the University “in recognition of its excellence to successfully harness the Internet for online marketing, social engagement and e-commerce.”
The two entities did a scan of local websites in 50 to 100 categories to create the DFC-SPI Index Top 100.
The UPD portal stood out in the areas of search engine competitiveness (measured through ranking on popular category keywords and website traffic stickiness); technical performance; and social media engagement.
