Feb. 22 — UP Diliman through the Center for International Studies (CIS), signed a 5-year memorandum on academic cooperation with Korea Maritime University’s Institute of International Maritime Affairs (IIMA) on February 8.
The memorandum aims to “develop academic and educational cooperation and promote mutual understanding” and includes provisions for student and faculty exchange programs, collaborative research projects as well as lectures and symposia.
Present at the signing were Chancellor Sergio S. Cao, CIS Director Cynthia Neri Zayas, Director Jeong Moon Soo and Vice Director Ryoo Kyo-Ryul of the IIMA. Also on hand was Prof. Wystan de la Peña, Chair of the Department of European Languages at the College of Arts and Letters.—AKR
