The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs (OVCCA) has issued new guidelines regarding vehicular access to the University on Sept. 29.
“For security reasons, only genuine and valid UP employee, student and alumni identification cards will be honored at University Portals (Ylanan, Jacinto, Velasquez, Schuster, Magsaysay) for access. Drivers and/or passengers bearing laminated photocopies of UP identification cards shall be refused entry at said gates. Further, these cards shall be confiscated by checkpoint security guards and shall be turned over to the OVCCA.
Meanwhile, appropriate sanctions shall be imposed on university personnel and student who allow reproduction of their UP identification cards for purposes of gaining access through the University Portals by unauthorized individuals.”
