NEC receives PQC Level 1 recognition

(November 15)—The UP National Engineering Center (UPNEC) received a Level 1 Recognition at the 2012 Pilot Run of the Philippine Quality Challenge (PQC) during the PQC Awarding Ceremonies and Forum held on November 13 at DusitThani Hotel in Makati City.

Championing excellence in organizational management, the PQC is a simplified Philippine Quality Award criteria for the small and medium enterprises at the beginning of their journey to performance improvement and excellence.¬† The award was given by the Department of Trade and Industry with the Philippine Society for Quality, Inc. (PSQA) and the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) as award administrators.¬† The PQC Awarding Ceremonies and Forum also served as a venue for PQC recipients to share their quality journey with the small and medium enterprises in the country,¬† specifically¬† strategies used to improve the processes and the learnings gained in the course of their implementation were highlighted during the event.—(UPD National Engineering Center)
