Humanities Diliman is now indexed in Scopus

Humanities Diliman joins the prestigious list of journals indexed in Scopus. The indexing starts with the June 2012 issue of the journal.

Scopus is an abstract and citation database maintained by Elsevier. The database contains almost 20,500 titles from more than 5,000 international publishers. Titles nominated for inclusion in Scopus are reviewed by an independent Content Selection and Advisory Board (CSAB) composed of subject experts from all over the world. The rigorous review process employs both qualitative and quantitative criteria that are grouped into five main categories: journal policy, content, journal standing, regularity, and online availability.

Humanities Diliman is the first UP Diliman journal to be indexed in Scopus. It is a journal on arts and humanities in the Philippines published biannually by the University of the Philippines Diliman through its Office of the Vice-Chancellor for Research and Development (OVCRD). In their review of Humanities Diliman, the Scopus CSAB noted that: “The editorial policy, abstracts, homepage and many articles impress in this journal.”

Scholars in Philippine humanities are invited to submit papers for possible publication in Humanities Diliman. To access the submission guidelines, as well as the journal’s contents, please visit this link: http://www.journals.upd.edu.ph/index.php/humanitiesdiliman.—Narita EC de las Alas
