UPD is top school in two eng’g licensure exams
(April 25)—UP Diliman is the top performing school in the Chemical Engineering (CE) and Electronics Engineering (ECE) licensure examinations held in April 2013.
According to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), UPD garnered 84 percent and 84.62 percent passing rates in the CE and ECE licensure exams.
Of the 438 who took the CE exam, only 205 passed, of which 11 examinees were from UPD. The examinees were from 37 schools. According to the PRC, only UPD and UP Los Baños had at least more than 80 percent passing percentage.
Out of 3,163 examinees who took the ECE exam, only 1,177 passed, of which 21 were from UPD. The examinees were from 192 schools. According to the PRC, only UPD had at least 80 percent passing percentage.
The PRC also announced that the issuance of ID as well as the Certificate of Registration for the successful examinees of CE and ECE will start on April 16 and May 6, respectively. The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony will be announced later. —H.C.P.
