Parasitology expert from SNC to teach at UP IESM

(JAN 26)—UPD, through the Institute of Environmental Science and Meteorology (IESM), College of Science, welcomes visiting professor Dr. Anindo Choudhury of St. Norbert College (SNC), USA.

Choudhury is a professor of biology and environmental science at the SNC, his specialization and research interests are in biogeography and systematics and parasitology. Choudhury’s stay in UPD is from January to May 2016. He will handle courses on Environmental Science 1 (Environment and Society) and Environmental Science 297 (Special Topic: Fish Parasitology). As part of the exchange program, Choudhury will also give a seminar on topic of his choice.

Choudhury’s visit is under the Visiting Exchange Professor Program between UPD and SNC signed in 2015 by UPD Chancellor Michael L Tan and SNC President Thomas Kunkel. Under the exchange program, Dr. Benjamin Vallejo Jr., faculty member of IESM, was sent to SNC for the same period as Choudhury’s counterpart. — With reports from International Linkages-UPD OVCAA
